GlamGlow Tingling and Exfoliating Mud Mask - Review

Hi,

Do you like trying out products just because they are raved about by celebrities. I don't really care for it all that much and have since turned to beauty bloggers for their reviews and comments. Which was how I came to know about this product.

Amount: 50mL
Made in: USA
Price: $45.00 (Sale)
Purchase: FeelUnique, BeautyBay
Product Info: A 10-minute anti-aging 'facial in a jar'. Noticeable 3-day glow from
Skin Collagen Synthesis. Helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
Skin is left brighter, smoother and softer. A mutli-level resurfacing
exfoliation and evens out skin tone. Helps tighten skin and minimizes pores.
Absorbs impurities without removing natural oils. Helps protect against
free-radical damage.
Product Instruction: Apply a thin layer to clean face. Expect a tingle-tactic tightening
effect in 10 minutes or less. Remove mask with water in circular
motions to exfoliate. Use twice a week or as often as desired.

A mask that was designed to be used for the Hollywood industries and loved by many celebrities like Nina Dobrev (never heard of her) and Tommy Lee just to name a few. However, that's not what attracted me to the product. I have seen while shopping at FeelUnique and BeautyBay but never paid enough attention to it because I'm really skeptical about products that claim to be loved by celebrities and the Hollywood world. To me they are just full of lies, a few years ago I brought Egyptian Magic which was raved about by so many celebrities and I just did not like it at all, but that's another story. Maybe I should review it if I can find it in my room again.

I heard about GlamGlow from a beauty blogger and she just loved it and since I trusted her word I decided to try it out. A few weeks ago FeelUnique were having a huge sale on nearly everything on their site and since they offer free shipping I decided to try it out. I think GlamGlow was 30% or 35% off and that made the price a little bit more appealing to me.

I have used it three times since I got it and I think I can give you a review on it. I first used it hoping that it could help brighten my dull face during one very cold winter evening. I cleaned my face and applied a thin layer to my face. The first thing that I liked about it was the fresh green tea scent. It tingled just like they said, but one thing that happened and they did not say anything about was how rock hard the mask becomes when it dries. I mean yes it is a mud mask and supposed to do that, but it dried so hard that it was even trying to speak was impossible.

Ten-minutes later and the mask was rock hard. I was really hard to speak or move any facial muscles. I wet my hands with warm water and slowly began to exfoliate my face. The product actually contains crushed green leafs that help to exfoliate. The end result I was really disappointed at first that I did not see the brightening effects, but my face felt smoother, and the little blackheads on my nose were nowhere to be seen. About two hours later my mother commented on how brighter my face was so there was a brightening effect, even through I did not see it at first.

Overall, a great little treat for the face, a great way to create your own at home spa treatment. I did not see any anti-aging benefits but then again I have only used it for three times.

Repurchase?  Probably....if I find it on sale again.

Shopping at Daiso!

Hi,

I went to Daiso today, I think they opened about two weeks ago. But I was busy with uni exams and assessments. So now that I have gotten most of my assessments done. I decided to check it out! Basically I just wanted to the sponge detergent and the blackhead mask that I have heard so much about in the blogging world. So you all know that Daiso is a Japanese 100 yen shop, each item is just 100 yen (approx. $1.20 AUD). In Australia each item is just $2.80 which is almost double the price.

Daiso! Everything $2.80
The shop is somewhat smaller than what I have seen/read about on the internet. Some things were really cute and others were just WTF! They have everything from beauty items, makeup to kitchen and bathroom. So let's take a look at what I brought.
I didn't find both of the items that I wanted, because they were out of stock. I got a hair turban for drying my hair, in pink of course. The pink dotted pouch is for feminine products, the big lace ribbon is a hair tie. Got some black cotton swabs and some individually wrapped ones that I thought wet the wet kind but they weren't :(. The pink tin I got for holding all my hair ties. A camellia oil hair conditioner and microfiber head band and pins for my broad.

This store was not like what I saw on YouTube and just a normal $2.00 shop. But that won't stop me from going there again.

It's Skin Prestige Creme D'escargot Review

Would you put snail slime on you face??

Will snail creams/products have been all the rage in Korea, and I just kept on hearing great reviews about the It's Skin Prestige Creme D'escargot. This snail slime, is supposedly the creme de le mer of snail creams. So while browsing around the It's Skin Gmarket shop, I noticed that they were having, from what I remember a 30-40% off everything in the store. So without thinking twice I added this cream and the serum in the same line to my cart and about one week later they were in my hands.
Amount: 60mL
Made in: Korea
Purchase: G-market
 Price: 60 000 won ($55.45)
There wasn't any English information on the packing except for these four lines,
              -E.G.F. Lifting Care Program
-Whitening & Reduces Wrinkle Care Program
              -Trouble & Repairs Care Program
              -Smooth & Moisturizing Care Program
It really sucks when a product does not come with english information. Oh well. With just these four lines I'm guessing that this cream is a all in one type of thing. You know what I mean right, trying to fix everything in just one step.

When I got the cream I was in the middle of using something else so I just placed it with all of my other unused products. Will after a while I got a huge pimple on my chin and I used everything on it. But they just did not work, even my trusty Naurko Niaouli & Tea Tree T-Zone Blackhead Remover and the Oil Out Targeted Treatment did not work. I just remembered that this cream was amazing for this. So out it came and I'm the kind of person that does not open two skincare products at once because they do have an expiry date and I just hate wasting money like that. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

I applied the cream at night and just hoped that it would do something. This is the amazing part the pimple decreased in size and by a lot. So the next night I applied it again and the pimple was gone. It just disappeared. I was surprised that it worked and worked so fast too.

The texture is very light, almost like a cream-gel hybrid. Sinks in wonderfully with no stickiness. But sadly it did nothing for me besides that pimple incident, no whitening, anti-aging or any of the other claims and promises. It was just a moisturizer, and a simple one defiantly not worth the price.

Repurchase?  No, but I might if it was on a good deal.

Love,
Sakura

Empties #1

Hi, today I have an empties post. I have been reading and loving these kind of post lately, so I decided to do that as well. I don't know if I can do a monthly empties post because I just won't have enough products to talk about. But these posts to encourage me to use up products a lot faster. So lets dig in.

Garnier Body Intensive 7 days Hydrating Lotion- 400mL
I have the one in Aloe Vera, its a nice body lotion great for summer. Provides moisture without leaving any stickiness on the skin. Sinks in to the skin very quickly. Does it leave the skin moisturized for 7 whole days. No, it doesn't.
Repurchase? Yes, already have.

Bath & Body Works P.S I Love You Triple Moisture Body Cream- 226g
This is a very thick cream, I really enjoyed using this during the colder months. Despite it being very thick in texture, my dry skin absorbed this very quickly. Towards the end I had to cut it open to use up and to my surprise there was quite a lot of product left. I wasn't really into the fragrance but it wasn't very strong and didn't last a long time.
Repurchase? No, we don't have Bath & Body Works in Australia :(

TonyMoly Floria Whitening Capsule Essence- 50mL
I got this a long time ago and had an on-off relationship with it. While I did love the brightening effect, I think and I'm not sure but when I used this on a daily basis I would get little bumps on my face and mostly forehead. It did not whiten my skin, but it gave a brighter look to it, however that did not last too long either.
Repurchase? No, I have way too many other serums/essences to try out.

Naruko Lupin Anti-Wrinkle Friming Serum- 30mL
I did a review on this here. I really like this serum, every thing from the texture to the smell. While I did  not notice any firming effects, I also don't have any wrinkles on my face, yet. A gel like texture that sinks into the skin very fast and evens out the skin.
Repurchase? Yes, if I make another order from Naruko.

Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream- 20mL
This cream promised a lot, but did not deliver anything. Promising to diminish fine lines and even improve deep wrinkles, and remove dark circles. No, it did nothing for me except provide sufficient moisture without feeling heavy.
Repurchase? No, I still have one that come part of a set, so I might do a review.

Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Corrector- 30mL
I didn't use them up both by myself. One of them belonged to my mother who just could not stand the fragrance and gave it to me, just when I finished my one. While it does state that it's 100% fragrance free, there is a chemical smell to it. I just can't throw it out because of the smell so I forced myself to use it up. I think it did a good job of evening out the skin.
Repurchase? No, I can't stand the smell.

Isa Knox MX-II Platinum Recovery Skin- 100mL
You can read the review here. A quick review its was really nice to use and I will be using the other set next winter, because I just think its too moisturizing during summer and I have dry skin so it better for winter.
Repurchase? No, because I have another set to use.

Isa Knox MX-II Platinum Recovery Emulsion- 100mL
Reviewed here. This is a thick, very thick cream. I'm call it a cream because it was literally a pain is the @$$ to get out of the bottle. They should have thought of adding a pump instead of having me to bang this on my palm very day. While it was so thick, it surprises me of how quick it absorbs and how soft it makes my skin.
Repurchase? No, because I have another set to use.

Sooryehan Boyun Extra Moisturizing Cream- 25mL
I got two of these deluxe sample/travel sized as part of the Sooryehan set that I brought from G-market. A nice moisture that sink into the skin without leaving and residue or shine. It smells very floral, but this goes away very quickly. A great cream with beautiful packing details on the lid and even come with a spatula.
Repurchase? No, because I have another one to use up.

That's all for this post. I will do another empties post when I have enough products.

Love,
Sakura
